I invite you to join me for a journey into Austin Creek, just outside of Guerneville in Sonoma County. With thousands of acres of woods and streams, this is an opportunity to rejuvenate, refresh, and be inspired. While you'll bring the provisions you need, I'll be your weekend guide. I tailor the pacing and activities of this men's weekend to the participants.
Join me in the woods, where turkeys, coyote, salamanders, hawks, and so many more creatures make their homes.
Details of the Adventure
We'll meet at the Armstrong Redwoods parking lot at 8am and review all that you're bringing before we begin our hike.
We will hike into this wondrous place in silence. This is an opportunity to drop into stillness and open to the natural beauty. The hike out to our camp is 5.8 miles.
We camp at Mannings Flat, it has been my retreat spot for over 20 years. This glorious place is next to Austin Creek and has gorgeous views, and delightful sounds.
We reach our site, make camp and enjoy lunch. After lunch, we often have fun as a group creating structures with natural materials and engaging in competitive games followed by a dip in one of the two refreshing swimming holes nearby. We will have a communal evening meal before a no-experience-necessary rhythm circle; we'll share stories and more.
We begin our day with guided yoga and meditation. Breakfast follows with alone time until lunch, where you can read, hike, journal, or relax by the creek. We will engage in more group fun and our hike out begins in the late afternoon, with a sunset view meal along the way. As twilight transitions into the night, we complete our journey.
