raga-inspired soundscapes
Welcome!
I’m thrilled to share a transformative sound healing practice that blends Sufi spirituality and Hindustani classical music. Using sound bowls, chimes, and sitar, I bring together the Western chakra system and the Sufi concept of Lataif-e-Sitta. This fusion of ancient traditions creates a healing experience for all. Join me on this journey as we explore *fanaa and **baqa together.

*Fanaa refers to annihilation of the nafs, or ego. More commonly known as "ego death".
**Baqa refers to subsistence with the divine, or God. This is the state after fanaa, where you rejoin everyday life but with this new perspective of the divine being omnipresent in your everyday life.

philosophy
At Sounds by Sahar, we offer a transformative soundbath experience that blends Sufi spirituality with the depth of Hindustani classical music. Rooted in cultural heritage, our practice combines sound bowls, chimes, drums, and Indian traditional instruments like sitar, harmonium, and voice, creating a harmonious and spiritually enriching soundscape.
By integrating the Western chakra system with the Sufi concept of Lataif-e-Sitta, we guide you on a holistic journey that merges ancient wisdom with modern healing. Our inclusive approach invites all to experience the profound power of sound, guiding you toward a state of fanaa (self-annihilation) and baqa (subsistence in God).
